A Decisive Step for African Vaccine Sovereignty!

On December 13, 2024, VaxSen secured $45 million in strategic funding from the AfDB, IFC, and DFC. This agreement, signed in the presence of President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, confirms Senegal’s position as a production hub in Africa.

This tripartite financing is the engine that will allow the expansion of the Project MADIBA production capabilities at the Institut Pasteur de Dakar. The goal is twofold: to address global vaccine shortages and to ensure equitable access across the continent.

This historic agreement demonstrates the power of strategic collaboration to realize the vision of an autonomous, resilient Africa capable of protecting itself against future health challenges.
